Quick Primer on How to Check TRIAS for Referee Assignment
TRIAS is short for Three Associations - GRJSA, Maple Valley and Highline. These three Associations are party to an agreement to have TRIAS supply referee assignors and assignment support. Cindy Moore is the Cascade Soccer Club referee assignor. This is a CSC Board position.
| Important: If you have any questions about a referee assignment, are lacking a referee for your game, or have any feedback about a referee that officiated your game, please advise the Club President or the Club Registrar. Do not contact Cindy Moore directly. If the issue needs to be brought to her attention, the club will contact Cindy on your behalf. |
The TRIAS software makes it easy to check for referee assignments. The Referee Assigner makes every effort to see that all games are covered.
All matches from U8 and older are listed on TRIAS. CSC, working with the Referee Assigner, attempts to cover every U8 and above game with a referee. If no referee is assigned, the match must still be played with either a parent or a coach acting as the referee. Each coach is encouraged to have at least one parent take the referee course in case they are needed.
The link to TRIAS is www.triassoccercentral.org
No password is needed to check this site. Simply click on "INFORMATION" and then "MATCH INQUIRY". You will see a list of upcoming games. To customize the report for your team, under "Club", select Cascade, and then under "Level", select your team's playing age. It is recommended that you change the "Sort By" field to "Date, Time, Field" to see a chronological listing of games. You may also want to show more than 10 matches to see games out into the future. Now click on "Show" to see a listing of the upcoming games.
When you see the list of games, click on the game number on the left hand side to see the status of the referee assignment. If there is a referee assigned to the game, you will see the "Assigned" entry. If the game information shows open, then no referee has been assigned yet. Many referees do not self assign, or are assigned to a game until a few days before the match. It's best to check the site daily. If your game has no referee and it is a day or two before your match, contact the Club President, or Club Registrar, who will work to see that at least one referee is assigned.
Note: TRIAS will display the match time and location as well.
Tip: This site only lists HOME matches that are within the three associations. If your away match is against a local team, then you can probably find that game listed. Most clubs outside our area belong to a similar referee organization, with a different website. Below is a listing of some other local referee sites. With a little bit of hunting you can probably find information about your away game. Do not contact CSC if your away game has no assigned referees. We have no control over that. You may want to send the other coach a gentle reminder. He or she is probably aware of the status and is most likely working behind the scenes to get a referee.
If your game is moved to a different time or location, the TRIAS website WILL be updated with the new time/location. Every attempt will be made to inform the coach of the change, but in the event of a change, TRIAS will always display the Official match location and time.
Coaches requesting a change in field venue, time, or even match date MUST contact the Field Coordinator, who is the only person from CSC that can facilitate and approve a change, which will then be updated in TRIAS.
